- Contract
The SRN Affiliate representative receives a signed
contract from the station.
Web site Affiliate Access requested
The new affiliate goes to Salem Music Network's website at http://www.salemmusicnetwork.com
and follows the access link at the bottom of the home page. Submitting the
information required on the access request page completes the request for
a new username and password to access the Affiliate section of the web
site.
Access Granted
SMN personnel process the affiliate's access request
manually (for verification) and respond to the affiliate once the new
account is added into the database.
Initial Configuration
Note: The two processes of section IV (A and B) can occur
in parallel, but they both need to occur.
- Grids
- The affiliate goes to the
Affiliate section of the web site and submits a grid that is sent
automatically to SRN personnel.
- SRN personnel confirm
everything is in order technically to configure the affiliate's
receiver.
- SRN personnel send out the
configuration and authorize the affiliate's receiver.
- Liners
- The affiliate goes to the
Affiliate section of the web site to fill out a liner request form,
or else they submit a paper version. (Submission via the web is
strongly preferred.)
- Their liner request is received
in by SMN personnel in Nashville. SMN personnel will work with the
request to create a preliminary version of the actual liner copy.
- SMN personnel submit the
preliminary version for review to the affiliate.
- The affiliate either gives its
approval or submits its requests for modifications. (If modified,
return to step IV-B-2 as necessary.)
- Once the affiliate gives its
final approval, liners are then submitted to the SMN on-air
personalities for cutting the liners. SMN personnel then have up
to/about a week to cut the requested tracks.
- Once all liners are cut (or as
liners are cut), they are posted to the SMN web site for the
affiliate to retrieve.
- If the affiliate finds a
problem with the liners at this point (mispronunciation, etc.), go
back to step IV-B-5 as necessary.
Installation and Continued
