Doug Griffin

Doug was born in Newport Beach, California and grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. Doug is fluent in German as he spent his senior year of High School (1984-85) as an exchange student in Minden, Germany. Doug has been on morning radio since 1986, previous stations include: KSOL (where he was the traffic rapper Doug EEE Fresh) & 6 years as “Jungle Doug” on KRTY/San Jose – where he met his beautiful wife, Sheryl.

Doug has hosted a number of Christian Mornings shows (Dick & Doug, Doug & Connie, Doug & Karla). Doug has been the host of“The Family Friendly Morning Show” since 2002 – enjoying a incredible 8 year run with co-host Kim. November 4, 2010 began a new chapter as he welcomed Jaci Velasquez to the morning show. Since 1988 Doug has operated his own mobile DJ business and has served as DJ and MC for countless weddings, parties and special events. Doug's eldest daughter Lauren is married and his son Garic “Baby-Man” Griffin has been a part of his dad’s morning shows since he could talk.

Jaci Velasquez

Jaci Velasquez grew up in an evangelical church where her parents were singers, evangelists and pastors. jaci has been singing since she was nine years old, and has been singing professionally for nearly 17 years. Contemporary Christian audiences are most familiar with her hit songs, "On My Knees" (a Dove Award winning "Song of the Year"), as well as "God So Loved" and "You're My God."

Jaci has sold over four million albums, garnered three RIAA certified Platinum recordings, three RIAA certified Gold recordings, sixteen #1 radio hits, and has graced more than 50 magazine covers. Her resume' includes ad campaigns for Pepsi, Doritos, Target, Frizz-Ease, and Helzberg Diamonds.

Jaci is married to Nic Gonzales, lead singer of the Christian group Salvador. Jaci and Nic were blessed with their son Zealand in 2007 and second son Soren in 2009.

Jeremy Sweat

Jeremy got his start in Christian Radio just out of high school in 1992. An interview on the local station in Saint Joseph, MO led to part-time work that turned into a full-time career. Over the years, he’s gained experience in production, traffic, sales, fund raising, promotions, web design and programming. He is an Addy award winning producer and copywriter, and a published Marketing author on the topic of Global branding. He made the move to Nashville with his wife Rachel and two boys Zach and Ty to be closer to family and to spend long summer days on the lake.

Afternoons

C.J. McKay

C.J.was born and raised in Alabama, and attended the University of Alabama, graduating with a degree in Communications. A radio veteran of 25 plus years, C.J. has worked at some of the country’s top stations in St. Louis, Charlotte, New Orleans and Tampa (where he was named one of Tampa Bay’s most popular radio personalities). C.J. is single and an active member of his local church. He’s a self- professed electronics geek and cinema buff with an extensive movie collection. With a goal to lead many from a crooked path to the Light - C.J. says, “I live by II Corinthians 2:14 - Thanks be to God, who always causes us to triumph in Christ!”

Jami Mayberry

Jami was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas. She attended Texas A&M University. Jami has bee in radio for over 30 years in Texas, Oklahoma, California, New Mexico and Tennessee. She was the first female in the format of CCM to host her own nationally syndicated radio show in the 80's. She was a MSNBC country music correspondent for Nashville in the 90's and served on the TN State Senate Staff in 2002-03 with a resolution passed in her honor on her final day by the Senate. She married in July 2010 after being single for 20 years. She met her husband, a Scotsman, through the movie "Somewhere in Time". She has an 18 year old cat name Spot. Jami has a passion for her faith, music and international travel.

Overnights & Operations

Wade McShane

Wade first became interested in radio by winning radio contests when he was just 14. By 16, he was on the air. He is a veteran of mainstream CHR, AC, News/Talk and Oldies radio in his native Southern California, and his production has won two ADDY awards and five ADDY Certificates of Recognition. He was also a contributor to a Golden Mike award for earthquake coverage, and an Emmy-award winning CBS sports feature. And he's experienced in video and print work - everything from a doctor, lawyer, car salesman, and Ask Jeeves butler, to featured extra work in music videos and the original "Saved by the Bell."

After joining Salem, Wade served as Morning Show host from 1994-1999, during which time he met his future wife at, what else, an on-air remote. As Operations Manager, he continues to oversee much of the production, as well as his on-air duties. He also produces and co-hosts the weekly syndicated program, “The CCM Radio Magazine.” Wade married his beautiful wife Rachelle in April 1998. They have three sons, Matthew, Andrew and Jacob and one daughter, Anna.

Tammi Arender

Tammi Arender has an extensive background in media. She had done entertainment reporting for national shows such as Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, The Nashville Network. Currently, she hosts the weekend overnights for Salem Music Network’s The Word in Praise, an Inspirational music radio network serving more than 100 radio stations through the US. She is the co-host for the CCM Radio Magazine show that is heard each week on Today’s Christian Music.

Tammi’s reporting skills have won her Associated Press awards as well as being cast in several movies as a reporter. Since that first small speaking role in the movie remake of one of her favorite childhood shows, “Dukes of Hazzard”, Tammi’s been cast in “Enemies Among Us”, Alabama Moon, Private Valentine: Blonde and Dangerous, and Flag of My Father, Jeff Who Lives at Home, and “51”, just to name a few.

Program Director

Vance Dillard

Vance is the Program Director for the Today's Christian Music network and the Word in Praise network, along with WFFH-FM/WFFI-FM broadcast properties, all operated by the Nashville-based Salem Music Network. Salem Music Network General Manager, Michael Miller commented, "Vance has a very impressive track record of successfully programming major market, adult contemporary radio stations, combined with an intimate knowledge of the Nashville market and a passion for Christian music. His mature leadership and demonstrated ability to grow highly rated radio stations makes him a perfect fit for our Nashville-based music programming operations." Dillard spent most of the 1970s working for full service adult AM stations, then the 1980s as program director for a top-rated station in Tampa. In 1988 he went to work for Jacor (now part of Clear Channel) and stayed with the company for 12 years. He spent one year of that time as WLW-Cincinnati operations manager and the rest of the time as program director of Atlanta's adult contemporary station, Peach-FM. Additionally, he served as the corporate adult contemporary brand manager, having programming oversight over scores of Clear Channel adult contemporary stations outside of Atlanta. Most recently, Dillard enjoyed a similar position with South Central Communications, owners of several adult contemporary formatted stations, including top-rated Mix 92.9 in Nashville.
